The new 2019 Skoda Fabia was unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. With updated aesthetics, the sedan has received changes under the hood in addition to new driver assistance technology and infotainment. It will go on sale in Britain this summer, with prices similar to those of the current model. The third generation of Fabia is now four years old, so a facelift was needed, especially considering that many of her closest rivals have been replaced by all the newer models recently the Ford Fiesta and SEAT Ibiza being two examples.
New Skoda Fabia Exterior
The modifications to the exterior design have been kept subtle however. The new, thinner headlamps are the most obvious new feature on the front and come with updated fog lights. Both LED headlamps and taillights are now on the list of supplements, while the range of alloy wheels has been expanded to include 18-inch options.
Interior of 2019 Skoda Fabia
Skoda keeps it inside for the moment, but promises a redesigned group of instruments, new decorative stripes on the dashboard and two-tone finishes on the seats to brighten things up. Skoda Fabia will come 6.5-inch Swing color touchscreen is now available, with optional navigation and SmartLink + connectivity for smartphones, enabling Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. At the rear, USB ports can now be equipped for rear passengers.
Skoda Fabia Engine 2019
The new Fabia will be delivered with the same 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engines as the old car. There will be an entry-level model of 60 hp (better avoided unless you make all your trips in town), a more powerful version of 75 hp and two turbocharged models of 95 hp and 110 hp respectively.
The most powerful 110hp car will be the only one available with an automatic transmission – a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox that is worth paying extra if you do a lot of stop-start driving.
Skoda Fabia 2019 Price
The new Fabia will go on sale in the second half of 2018. It should cost roughly the same as the outgoing car £ 11,370 but we will have to wait until it debuts in public at Geneva Salon 2018 in March for official prices to be confirmed.
