2019 Seat Ateca – Fresh from the bowels of the SEAT – Cupra split comes the Cupra Ateca, a rebadged model with typical tuner enhancements. Highlights include a considerable increase in power, soft revisions on the outside, plenty of Alcantara inside, and a band of standard features tailored for what would have been the range-topping model of the range from SEAT Ateca.

Seat Ateca Exterior 2019

The 2019 Seat Ateca is clearly a renamed model, but Cupra has managed to make the difference between doing too much and too little with his first model. Simply put, outdoor improvements are in all the right places. Compared to the model on which it is based, you will recognize this nose, and the Cupra even has the same grille mesh, but this mesh is transported in the corner jacks. These, of course, seem a little bigger not because of the redesign, but because the Cupra Ateca does not have the fog lights found on the SEAT models. The lower lip has also been revised, with a sportier air dam with secondary air intakes in the corners. The side profile does not change at all, but you should take note of these exclusive 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Around the back, most of the usual SEAT DNA remains, but there is a brand new diffuser to offer a fresh look with these rather strange openings between the rear baffles. In fact, the Cupra Ateca also has two twin tailpipes, a hint of the extra power made possible by the engine hidden under the hood, but we’ll talk about it later.

Seat Ateca 2019 Interior

You would not be judged if you looked inward and said, “It’s just a SEAT Ateca.” In fact, we did the same thing, but when you look, there are a lot of fees here. For example, seats and door panels receive healthy doses of Alcantara, while the steering wheel is wrapped in perforated leather. The seats, trim panels, shifter and steering wheel are all held together by contrasting gray seams to add a little spice to the interior. Of course, you’ll find the Cupra brand here and there, including on the steering wheel, the floor mats and the infotainment screen. The door sills even have an illuminated Cupra logo to remind those who enter what they are entering. The eight-inch infotainment screen moves from SEAT Ateca, but it gets custom software that includes a Cupra logo at the entrance of the vehicle, and there’s also a performance page. The dashboard is fully digital, with a central tachometer and digital speedometer. All other relevant data appears on each side of the screen. Things like keyless entry and keyless start complete the interior package.
