The rumor has run since the GT350 has started to hit the road, that Ford Performance has made it go up to 11 and go out with a car that simply blows out of the water.

These photos also show the GT500 with an absolutely huge set of brakes. The rotors are massive, and the stirrups are similarly huge to maximize stopping capacity. Suspension changes remain a mystery. However, the MagneRide dampers of the GT350 seem a very likely inclusion at least optional.
Inside, the photos suggest here that the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 would be largely identical to the existing GT350. The various wires hanging in the cabin and the tiny screen on the center console indicate that engineers have not finished developing things yet. Yet the lack of any major camouflage, except on the center console, suggests that the changes could be mostly cosmetic.

Dodge Challenger Hellcat, so everyone expects it will get a powerful V8. A twin-turbo V8 has been announced as a possibility, but a supercharged mill like the last GT500 seems much more likely.
Our colleagues at Car and Driver believe that the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will get a 5.2-liter V8 similar to that of the GT350, but with a traditional crankshaft. The image you see above shows a boost box with a Shelby logo and the number 5.2 stamped on it, which could confirm at least some speculation of Car and Driver.
