When the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack released last year as the newest member of the iconic hatchback family, it immediately found a solid foundation with consumers who love their sturdy appearance and durability. Yesterday, Volkswagen released new information about Alltrack’s innovations for the upcoming model year, and we’re really excited to share them with you. Enter and check out what’s new at Volkswagen Golf Alltrack 2018!
For the 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack now includes LED taillights, LED daytime running lights, a 6.5-inch touch screen for color composition entertainment system, alarm preparation and headlights automatic with rain sensor. Existing standard features include 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, fog lights, Car-Net App-Connect connections, V-tex imitation leather seat surfaces with electric tilt, interior lighting and a multifunction steering wheel in leather.
Sitting in the front seats, the basic layout is like any other golf course from medium to high precision. Clear controls and sensitive ergonomics abound. Simple lines are saved by looking dull or inexpensive due to the quality of the materials and the accuracy of the assembly. If you buy crosses with crossovers, you will notice that it does not have the kind of deep storage bins they provide most often.
At the rear, the height is improved compared to the 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack hatch, but not the space for the leggings, which is a bit ordinary for such a long car. Vents and reading lights are provided, and back pockets. The bench is in the shape of three, but due to the transmission tunnel it is preferable for two, and they will then have a folding armrest with more storage. To fold the seats, remove the headrests, they do not need to remove and pull small levers into the shoe. The rear supports flip forward. This leaves a usefully long space, all the way to the front seats. But because the rear seat cushion is not missing from its front edge, you do not have a bulkhead to prevent bulk parts from slipping between the front seats. And then you notice that the folders do not bend completely.
The premium trim also includes good-looking perforated leather seating sills and supportive sports seats. You can pay extra for a 9.5-inch entertainment screen that is coupled to VW’s virtual TFT instruments. The large screen means there is no room for the two hardware buttons of the eight-inch system, so that all entries have to be made by finger gestures or silly gestures. It’s just as great. At least, the climate control system is always executed by hardware controls and has not migrated to the screen.
The 2018 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack features a powerful, efficient four-cylinder TSI turbo engine with 1.8-liter direct injection that produces 170 horsepower and 199 pounds of torque. Volkswagen offers standard 4Motion all-wheel drive for exceptional performance on different road conditions. The engine is coupled to a six-speed DSG transmission for all trim, as well as choice of six-speed S and SE trim. The Alltrack Golf also features a standard Hill downhill control and increased ground clearance for more off-road opportunities.
