2018 Tata Sumo – The Sumo utility vehicle from Tata Motors was a popular choice in its segment. The vehicle is indeed a hot favorite in the commercial segment. According to sources, Tata Motors has been working on the development of the next-generation Sumo which is expected to be on sale in 2018. The company is expected to abandon the existing model by 2017.
According to a report by Autocar India, the next generation of Sumo, scheduled for 2018, will be based on a new lightweight platform called Raptor. This platform will be used in other budget SUVs and MUVs under the tutelage of Tata Motors. The Sumo was a wonderful life carrier in the Indian utility segment. The market in the early 1990s had very few players and Sumo achieved immediate success because of its robust build quality. The same could not be said about his successor. No matter how they sounded, they could not be Victa-orious in their attempt to seduce the public. The company now hopes to change this with the next generation of Sumo.
Unlike the traditional configurations usually found on road vehicles, the new Raptor platform will not be a ladder, nor a monocoque, but will have a new integrated framework. This simply means that the vehicle body will be integrated on the chassis, which will help the vehicle lose a few pounds, which should result in better overall efficiency fuel and performance!
We are also expecting an improvement in the quality of construction and an increase in the list of characteristics, which will allow us to become a rival worthy of Bolero (which also improves in the times to come).
The 2018 Tata Sumo is a direct competition for the Bolero and Mahindra is working on the new Bolero, which will probably be called the TUV50, which will be launched on 10 September. Tata will soon be launching the Hexa and Kite twins in the next six months.
