Tata Motors has grown to compete with established brands in India now. Fresh additions such as the Nexon compact SUV, the Tigor compact sedan and the Tiago sedan marked a new stage in the company. The company aims to increase their utility vehicle game from the resumption of their flagship SUV 2018 Tata Safari. Tata has also bagged the government’s tender for delivering 1,000 electric vehicles by silently leaving its competitors in shock. Want to know more about the upcoming Tata Safari 2018, read along.
Here we have a rendering image published by Rushlane, which gives us a speculative insight into the 2018 Tata Safari. The car comes with a very stylish design compared to the outgoing model, and the Land Rover design entries are clearly visible. The headlights, the front grille, the front bumper, the side profile and even the rear bumper are also completely redesigned, very inspired by Land Rover Discovery.
The next generation of Tata Safari could be different, but it will be based on the same L550 platform, on which the outgoing model is based. Instead of being an Indian SUV Tata Motors plans to make Safari a global car. The car is supposed to come with several high-end features inside the cabin, and a lot safer too. Expect the Land Rover Discovery inspiration to continue inside the cabin. Expect the car to come with a seating arrangement of 7 occupants.
The power of the new 2018 Tata Safari will be a brand new 2.0-liter diesel engine. It’s the same engine that Jeep will use in their affordable SUVs made in India. Expect a power of 150 to 320 Nm.
