The XT5 was one of Cadillac’s best designs, but it was also one of the best-known models launched more than five decades ago and it did not have actual news in the meantime. Instead of upgrading an already old style, Cadillac decided to unload a brand new car that was first delivered in August this year. The 2018 Cadillac XT5 was officially revealed fairly recently at the automated Los Angeles show and it is a much better car than many people have predicted. The new style uses the same system on the CTS which creates one of the most amazing crosses when it comes to its weight and hardness.
The appearance of the 2018 Cadillac XT5 was a benevolent relief of the aging and outdated SRX. He has been replaced. We expect these strong looks, inside and outside, to remain the same in the new year. Standard features, which should include 18-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, electric tool holders, fake leather upholstery, electric front seats, remote start of the engine and much more.
The 2018 Cadillac XT5 range extends over a wide range. The basic models are almost half the price of a fully loaded example. Yet all models have a high level feel and comfortable front seats. The basic models feature synthetic leather upholstery that will carry better than the actual skins, but do not feel very high-end. Premium and luxurious finish levels replace real leather, while platinum goes even further with semi-aniline fine skin. In the front, the electrically adjustable buckets offer good support. Full lumbar adjustment is included in the luxury and higher trim levels for the driver and passenger. The XT5 is a bit narrow compared to some of its main rivals, something that is revealed in the back seat. There is still room for two normal-sized adults, but a third passenger will not be very happy.
The 2018 Cadillac XT5 is available as a front-wheel drive or as an all-wheel drive in the Base, Luxury, Luxury Premium or Platinum models. A 3.6-liter 310-horsepower V6 with automatic shutdown / start and cylinder deactivation technology sends power through a new 8-speed automatic electronic transmission. The XT5 can be equipped with the latest safety technology, such as lane departure prevention, blind warning, forward collision attenuation, pedestrian detection and, of course, a help. Available features include 20-inch wheels and tires, air-conditioned leather seats, Bose surround sound, tri-zone climate control, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, automatic parking and more. The Cadillac XT5 offers a basic all-wheel drive for 2018.
